For those of you not familiar with the Tintin franchise, here are the basics:

The first Tintin comics were created in the 1930’s by Belgian artist Georges Rémi, who wrote under the pen name Hergé. The series revolves around a young Belgian reporter named Tintin and his fox terrier, Snowy. Tintin has become the most popular European comic and has been published in more than 50 languages.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Game begins on a day like any other… Tintin and Snowy go shopping in the local market and happen upon a curious model ship. Tintin purchases the ship, but moments later is assaulted and the ship is stolen, starting Tintin and Snowy on a search for the missing model. Play as the duo as they search across oceans, deserts and exotic cities to unravel the mystery!

The Adventures of Tintin is a great game for all ages. One of the comic’s slogans was “from 7 to 77 years old” and The Adventures of Tintin: The Game is no different! Its core gameplay is a 3D adventure, but it also includes many story based gameplay elements. Sneak past enemies, solve physics based puzzles, fly planes, race camels through the desert, and even take part in naval battles in the past! The controls allow anyone to play with an automatic camera and only 2 buttons to control. It’s also highly interactive, allowing players to move boxes and other objects with the swipe of a finger and hide from villains with a tap.

One of the most interesting parts of the game from a gameplay perspective is playing as multiple characters. In the first level you sneak around the Marlinspike mansion as Tintin and then have to rescue Tintin as Snowy, effectively traveling through the same environment twice, but from totally different perspectives. Later in the game you are also able to play as Captain Haddock and his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock!
